Rockford Air Fest 2012
Day 201 – We went to the Air Show today. It was thrilling. I really had a difficult time picking my favorite photo from today. There were so many amazing aerial displays! Photos can’t do these planes and pilots justice. You have to see them in person, to hear the roar of the engines as they fly by. The fighter planes in this photo are part of the Thunderbirds.
Vanessa
Day 198 – I sure hope Vanessa is okay. That’s a pretty steep drop off into the water below and that ladder looked questionable.
What Do You Do With This?
Day 197 – What do you do when you get a weird, gross, but strangely cool picture? I don’t know if I like this shot, but I do find it interesting.

John G. Shedd Aquarium
Day 194 – We made our annual trip to the Shedd Aquarium today. It was a beautiful day in Chicago.
Madison
Day 188 – The sun is setting over the capital building in Madison, Wisconsin. If you are brave enough to walk up the narrow spiral staircase at the top of the dome, there is a wonderful view of the city up there.
Maybach
Day 160 – We went to the Classics and Chrome show today and got a chance to get close to this beauty. Built in Germany in 1939, this Maybach Special Roadster is one of only two ever made. Its top speed is 120 mph. The MM on the logo stands for “Maybach – Motorenbau”.
Crazy About Daisy
Day 150 – I love these daisies with the purple and yellow centers. They are all in full bloom at the Lincoln Park Conservatory. It’s a wonderful place to visit (and it’s free). There are rooms for ferns, orchids, garden plants and palms.
Mighty Is The Roar
Day 149 – A trip to the zoo today reminds me that these beautiful creatures are ambassadors of their species, reminding us that we do not hold claim to every inch of this world.
