Day 185 – I took a walk through Anderson’s Japanese Garden this morning with my mother-in-law. It was very relaxing. We just put our phones on silent and walked through the garden admiring all the beauty.
Day 184 – This photograph was taken at our local conservatory. They have a flower arrangement that spins. This is what you see when you look through the kaleidoscope.
Day 169 –“No bird ever flew nonstop from New York to Tokyo, or raced 15 miles high at triple the speed of sound. But birds do something else. They do not conquer the air; they romance it.” – Peter Garrison
Day 151 – I saw this woman sketching the giraffe at the zoo the other day. I am not very good at drawing, which is probably why I love photography so much.
Day 150 – I love these daisies with the purple and yellow centers. They are all in full bloom at the Lincoln Park Conservatory. It’s a wonderful place to visit (and it’s free). There are rooms for ferns, orchids, garden plants and palms.
Day 149 – A trip to the zoo today reminds me that these beautiful creatures are ambassadors of their species, reminding us that we do not hold claim to every inch of this world.
