Splendid Specimens

Day 293 – I love orchids for their exotic beauty. They symbolize strength, innocence, beauty, refinement, love and thoughtfulness. They are the most handsome and interesting flowers I have ever seen.

Day 292 – This is Ollie, the friendliest, one-eyed golden you’ll ever meet.

Day 287 – A visit to Edward’s Apple Orchard in Poplar Grove is the sweetest way to celebrate Autumn’s return. We had a wonderful day there sampling apple donuts, apple cider, apple butter, fresh sausages, cashew brittle, and of course, apples.

Day 285 – “Every one is a moon, and has a dark side which he never shows to anybody.” – Mark Twain

Day 278 – Don’t be afraid to show off your crazy, punk, wild side every once in a while.

Another Day Done

Day 269 – Ralph Waldo Emerson tells us to finish each day and be done with it. Tomorrow is a new day and you will not be encumbered with your old nonsense. Day 267 – Walking through the stables I noticed a sign that read – “A horse doesn’t care how much you know, until he knows how much you care.  -Pat Parelli”.  And if you can make friends with a horse, gain his trust so he yields to you – well, that is a mighty wonderful thing, indeed.
