Day 283 – Anthrocyanosides are the wonderful chemicals in blueberries that help lower cholesterol and improve brain function. We have blueberries everyday in our morning smoothies. And they are my favorite blue food!

Day 211 – There are all sorts of emergency kits on the market – first aid, car repair, etc. But I came up with this personal emergency kit. Its contents are supposed to help through a rough day. I found it buried in my closet (which tells you that my life is pretty good). But I stocked it with some of my favorite things in case I was ever having a “terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day”. I haveĀ some chocolates, some Baileys, pictures of my family, words of wisdom, a candle, tissues to wipe away the tears and some nice smelling lotion. You can put whatever you like in a personal emergency kit. But hopefully, you’ll never need it.
Day 209 – We celebrated my mom’s birthday with a champagne brunch. Her birthday is actually on Wednesday, but she’s a firm believer in celebrating for at least a week. After brunch we walked around the hotel and discovered this stretch limo Excalibur that was made especially for Luciano Pavarotti. Since she is a big opera fan, this was very exciting.
