Day 64 – December 7, 1941 – “…a day that will live in infamy…” FDR.

This statue is part of a larger display memorializing the other major conflicts America has been in. Someone had left the rose in her hand. I thought that it was worth remembering all the women who serve in wartime and the sacrifices they made.

Day 59 – I realize that I posted a picture of a house finch in the bushes before. But this little lady surprised me this morning when I pulled up. She stayed just long enough for me to grab my camera and get a shot. Let’s see if her and the gang are there when I put up the Christmas lights. I’ll make it up to her by filling the feeder out back.

Day 58 – My grandfather, PFC John P. On the back of this picture he wrote, ” May 31, 1942 – I love you, Sweets”. That was his nickname for my grandmother.
