Day 24 – Imagine my surprise when I found all these ghosts out in the wood.
Hawk’s Perch
Day 23 – Just as I was getting ready to leave this hawk flew overhead and perched at the top of an enormous pine tree. The lighting was tough since I was quite far away so I decided to play around in Photoshop a bit and add a watercolor effect to the photo.
Rite of Passage
Day 22 – Orthodontia – more like ortho-don’t-ya. My son kindly agreed to let me photograph his orthodontia appointment today. If you were lucky enough to have braces as a kid you can smile knowing that it was all worth it. There are many rights of passage into adulthood – braces, first date, staying up all night, driving, that first beer, final exams, etc. Some are just more fun than others.

Day 19 – My son showed me where the kids in the neighborhood made a hideout in the woods near our house. They also marked a path down to the creek. Some things never change. When I was a kid, I had a hideout under some trees on the shore of Lake Champlain.
